GU Samsa
I’ve not got a lot of time at the moment to do this comic because I’m preparing to move house so I dragged out an edit I made a while ago which I didn’t find that funny and tried to rewrite it to find something amusing in it.
The problem is that GU Comics is the blandest comic you’ll ever stumble across. It’s not funny, it’s not offensive, it’s just there taking up space and projecting boredom into the world. I spent hours trying to make some form of interesting joke but in the end just kind of lost my mind and went Kafka on it. At least it’s an improvement.
GU Comics also loves to reuse it’s art. While trawling through the archives I noticed that Woody Hearn likes to copy-paste most of his characters over and over again and in some cases NOT DRAW ANYTHING. Way to take advantage of a visual medium Woody.

You know, I used to read the comic semi-religiously back when I played EQ and it was only about EQ, but even then, something about the rigid stance and unnatural facial expressions of the characters bugged me, especially the way he had his characters close their eyes and cup a hand to their mouth whenever they used global or zone chat channels or yells. It was… weird. And then I realized the humor was bland as hell too, and I stopped reading.
