Jack’s Willy.

ORIGINAL COMIC

This is not the “Jack” that most webcomic readers know. That Jack is a frequently disgusting, self-indulgent furry comic about the afterlife, death, serial killers, rape and other joyful topics. THIS Jack is a frequently digusting, self-indulgent human/furry comic about  the afterlife, death, serial killing, rape and whining. Woo. Originally I intended to tackle the “famous” Jack but reading the archives was like pouring boiling lead directly into my brain, painful and confusing, so it’s been moved to the back burner for a while.

This Jack is an angsty waste of time, it’s the webcomic equivalent of a sucidical nu-metal band. The art is often hilarious while trying in vain to be dark and brooding; for instance I’ve no idea what shape Jack’s head actually is since behind the mask is an undefined arrangment of geometric oddities and surfaces, likely incomprehensible to the normal human mind. The story is rambling, melodramatic and violent in a way that suggests the author is a deeply unimaginative goth, one who likely has every piece of “Cute and Spooky!” style merchandise they can find strewn about their room and clothing to ensure people know they’re a quirky girl with DARK INTERESTS WoooOOOOooooOOOOOHHH.

I could be wrong about that but that’s the vibe the comic gives out. If you check out, you’ll see what I mean.

What the hell is this crap? A sad attempt at a Jack ripoff? He didn’t even change the names, man! Anyway, while i like the *actual* Jack comic, I’m glad you are still planning on doing it.

Some of us feel that an unblown mind is a problem.
Some of us like ‘boiling lead poured into our brains’.
Many survived the late 60’s with something like that more or less. Me, much less.
R.Crumb, Robert Anton Wilson, others have done shock and psychodrama.
Jack does take it over the top.
And the WO does nail the flaws of Jack well.
But no one is addressing the reason why so many web artists know Jack.
And why if you check the comments, the writer/artist has said that many have found hope in his comic.
It is about the possibility of hope even in Hell, and about redemption.
There is a certain shock to describing Hell in Hellish detail.
I think that you need to find the attraction, then dissect that.
