WHAT IS THIS COMIC?

This is my mind-shattering journey into the world of webcomics and the attempted reconstruction of their content.

WHY?

Webcomics, like any user-created content system, have no real form of quality control. The dire can exist with sublime and mediocrity quickly becomes the norm. Right now there are some successful webcomics that completely deserve that success such as Penny Arcade, Horribleville, Sheldon and Eegra, but at the same time there are many successful webcomics that offer nothing but bland humour and pointless references. The audiences out there don’t crave the quality that they should and I believe that this is a genuine blight.

Very few of the comics I’ll edit I will actually hate. It’s really not worth it for the most part, hell some of them I actually enjoy but see a potential for a joke anyway, and while it’s an author’s fault if they never improve or never push themselves, it’s the audience who makes a comic a success. People like Jeph Jaqcues of Questionable Content have just found a group of people who are willing to pay them, no matter what they put out there, and that’s some skill in itself.

WHAT’S THE UPDATE SCHEDULE?

I update by midnight on a Monday. This comic will often require delving into the archives of some truly awful material and that can dampen your enthusiasm.

WHY SHOULDN’T I BE OFFENDED IF YOU INSULT A COMIC I LIKE?

First and foremost, I make no money from this site and give a full link and credit to the original. Secondly, have you ever watched and laughed at a Mystery Science Theatre 3000 episode? This is nothing different. Mike, Joel and Bots gave those movies quite a thrashing, making huge jokes at their expense. They weren’t nice because it’s not funny to sit there and be forgiving to what you’re viewing, it’s funny to point out the issues.

Many comics I’ve done haven’t been even about the original comic, I just use it as a springboard for what I feel is a good joke. The commentary at the bottom is often critical, but I only want the world of webcomics to improve.
